1. The Oirats live in the northwestern forests. Chinggis Khan's Mongols ride the eastern steppe.
  2. In 1207 the Oirats join him by alliance. They remain Oirats.
  3. Centuries later, some Oirats ride west to the Volga. Those Oirats become the Kalmyks.
  4. Today their descendants live on. Kalmyks in Russia. Oirats in western Mongolia and in China. Sart-Kalmaks in Kyrgyzstan.
  5. This game begins in 1207, in an Oirat camp.
